Final sounds so... well... Final...

I thank you all for the kind words of support.  I should have done some investigating before I wrote my last post.

It seems the only way to save my archives and not have to start from scratch when I'm ready to come back is to just keep the blog open.  I'll be downgrading my typepad account since I won't be posting again for a while.  That way when I'm ready to come back I can.  It's only $4 and some change.  There are too many links and such that I just don't want to get rid of.

This will take away the pressure that I feel to post regularly and will just be a surprise to you when I show up on your bloglines again.  It'll be a while though I'm hoping that by Fall, my favorite knitting time,  maybe I'll have things in order and will feel a bit more free.

Thanks again for all the support and until we meet here again, I'll see you in blogland....

Signing Off

Some of you know that I've been thinking about this for a while.  I wanted to continue doing the blog as long as it was fun.  While I enjoy reading everyone's blogs, I feel like I've run out of gas on my own and it's become a bit of a chore and I think it's really starting to bog my knitting up.  My personal life is a bit difficult right now.  I feel like I'm just barely holding on and I just need to lighten the load a bit to make things easier.

Maybe I'll be back in the future sometime when we move back to the States, but I'm going to sign off for now.  I'm grateful for the blog friends I've made and I'll be meeting many of you when we move back to New York next year.  Since I'm paid through to the end of the month, I'll keep the blog up until then so if there's a pattern or one of the links you want to take note of you'll be able to.  If you want to e me my main address is:  danandjeanflores at aol dot com.

I'll see you all around blogland in the comments sections.

And the Basket Goes To....

Basket_5 The winner of the drawing for the Preemie Project basket goes to.... drumroll please.... Li from Life's a Stitch!  Congrats Li.  E me your address and I'll get the basket off to you.

Thanks to everyone for participating and keep those little knitties going to Laura.  It's a great cause.

It was a long week here.  I caught some nasty stomach bug that's going around our community and was down for the count Monday.   It came on strong and fast, but it was over pretty quick too.   I was pretty much back to normal by Tuesday afternoon.  Did some volunteering at the school and just kept busy in general.

I finished the baby sweater that was giving me hell a challenge and it's ready for it's little recipient who's due at the end of this month.  I will never do another textured knit back and forth again unless the back side is just knit or purl.  Whew.  I think I got into the rhythm of it just as I was finishing the 2nd sleeve.

Here's a little sky shot for Sandy.   Dan sent it all the way from Afghanistan.  Okay... so it came by email but still... pretty, no?
