Boxes, boxes and more boxes....

Is anyone still out there?  lol.  I know I really left you hanging.  Sorry.  It couldn't be helped.  In a nutshell... as you saw in the video, Dan came home, we did a lot of traveling before we left Europe and then we moved... it was a big move.  We were "homeless" for over two months but we're in a house now and surrounded by boxes and boxes... and boxes of our household goods.  It's nuts.  We moved into a house about 2/3's the size of the one we had in Germany.  Time to get rid of a lot of stuff because it's not all going to fit in here, that's for sure.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone that's around the Hudson Valley area.  It's beautiful here.  Absolutely beautiful.  Ask me again in the winter though. lol.

We lived in the guest house on post for over a month and then after Daniel left for the camp program we lived in a camper for a few weeks.  I wasn't kidding when I said it's been nuts.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out and let you know that we are alive.  I promise a full update and some photos within the next couple of weeks.

Yeah you are still alive,,,glad you are safe and sound now,,keep us posted,,,talk to you later..
Good to have you all home safe and sound.
Was very happy to see a new post, glad you're back. I'd been checking in about once a week or thereabouts to see if you'd sent anything.
Welcome Home!!! We're so happy to have you and your family back in the USA! Can't wait to read about all your new adventures in New York State. You're now how far away from Rhinebeck?!!!
I remember those days (AF brat/wife). Glad you are back!
I knew if I clicked my mouse & heels 3 times there'd be a new post. Good luck getting settled and enjoy the lush fall you will have in NY. I'll be jealously sweating my tail off!! Looking forward to the pics.
Oh good! I'm glad that you are geting all settled and are back safe and sound!
so glad you're back! The minute you said Hudson Valley I thought - oooh, she's going t Rhinebeck. So..you're at Ft Drum, then, right? I've never been there - always got stationed south or in Europe although of course I did some schools at Ft. Devens in MA. Anyway...I'm glad you're back! Unpacking, ugh.
Yay! Glad to hear you're doing okay!
Welcome back! Hoping things settle in. Maybe see you at NYS&W.
Glad you're on Home Soil! Waiting to hear about all your travels and un-boxing.
Welcome back Jean, I look forward to hearing more about your adventures in housing!
awesome awesome...just did the same thing in March...well, the camper was too cold so a one bedrm furnished apt. had to to for the four of us and Nugget! I'm so glad your 'back'...I know it's nuts i'm 'feeling' you. I swear military moves do not get easier..actually harder I feel! Can't wait to hear all about your 'nut' life :)
So you did decide to go with camper living. How did that work for you? I bet it makes your house (though smaller than the one you had in Germany) seem roomy in comparison. Welcome back!
Glad to hear you are getting settled. Moving is an adventure!
Welcome home! You HAVE been missed terribly, but with complete understanding as to the disappearance!
Welcome back! I've missed you! I hope you will shows us pictures as you get settled in and I hope it feels like HOME!
SO glad to hear that you are back, even though you are surrounded by boxes. Looking forward to photos.
Are you in qtrs? We lived in a camper at Round Pond for almost a month so I feel your pain! Have you found the yarn shops yet? Your closest are the Cornwall Yarn Shop in Cornwall (near the traffic circle) and Knittingsmith in Cold Spring (in the grocery store strip before main street). Both are nice shops with a good selection of yarns and both Cornwall and Cold Spring have nice shops and places to eat so Dan and the boys might not mind a field trip either. (The calzones at Prima Pizza on Cornwall's main street are not to be missed!) Oh how I miss the Hudson Valley!!
Glad you're all back in the states, safe and sound! Glad to hear from you too. I thought that perhaps the blogging hiatus was due to, errrr....reunion time? Camper? EEEK!
yay!! Good to hear from you! Welcome back, Jean.
It was easy to figure that your life had to be chaotic preparing for and executing a move. I always knew you'd be back as soon as you got settled. Glad your move was a good one and hope you're getting settled!
aah, the vagabond life! I'm so happy you gave a shout!
Welcome back!!!!! I've missed you.
