« I Really am Knitting | Main | My Hat Needs Some Friends »

I think the Hudson valley is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I love when we get to visit my brother. Coming from flat as a pancake Virginia Beach, the scenery takes my breath away. Ribbed hats always fit someone. Lots of wiggle room up or down
Actually, the Cadets are one of the highlights. It's the housing that sucks.
Becca seems like West Point would be the perfect duty station if it weren't for all those cadets.
Jean, I don't know how you'll leave that beautiful part of the country you live in. I've never been to Texas, but I do love the east coast....and knitting in the car. Enjoy!
Good idea with the hats.....and I LOVE your pics. So pretty. The town looks so picturesque along the river with the fall glory. Les
So beautiful up there. Last time we went up to visit family in Stony Point, we took a drive around the area. It's amazing how much it's changed in the last 40 years - so much more development.
Great plan on getting those hats knit, you should have a few done in no time. I've driven on that mountain road to see the summer W.P. band concerts, wouldn't want to try it in winter with snow, makes me queasy as it is!
I don't see why you don't start your own hat drive on the blog. You never know how many hats you'll get. And it'll be that many more going to a needy person this cold winter. Just my 2 cents worth :-) I would love to participate, however my left hand is in a cast for the next 4 weeks. So although I can't knit, I'm willing to throw in a yarny incentive to those who can as a prize. Great photos!
The view is spectacular in the fall and it must also be beautiful covered with snow.

I like ribbed hats, because they always fit well on a wide range of head sizes, but they do seem to take longer to knit. This one looks great in your hand-dyed yarn! As you know, I'm knitting a few hats myself. :)
